Yahoo! TV Is Just Bad December 20, 2006

What is it with tv listing sites? I don’t understand what’s so hard about listing television shows. TV Guide is slower than molasses. Yahoo! TV used to work just fine. Now they’ve completely revamped their TV site, and it flat doesn’t work. There’s either no listings, or the listingsĀ are plain wrong, or you can only see what’s showing tomorrow, not right at this moment when I want to watch TV.

It’s a beta version. So, shouldn’t I have the choice to use or not use the beta version? Apparently it doesn’t work that way with Web apps. It’s either Yahoo! TV beta or not at all. Well, I choose not at all. I’llĀ just save the listings from the Sunday paper.

I agree with your comments about Yahoo TV. I used to use their site all the time, but since the change I’ve switched to tv.zap2it.com It’s not the greatest, but it sure beats Yahoo TV.

I agree. TV Guide stinks. I’m using zap2it also. I keep checking back with Yahoo! TV, but it’s not getting any better.

I’m entering this blog a bit late, but after spending far too long looking for program air times for movies and football games, this “what’s on TV” issue is still ongoing as of Thanksgiving 2008. I discovered a new issue that may be local to either the browser set ups on 2 different laptops or the hotel Internet access. I so wish I had toted my own laptop so I’d at least have some basis for comparison as to why programming searches are so difficult. AND I AM SICK TO DEATH OF THE ADS!!!
